Memories of a distant past

The other day I was driving and saw a car that was the colour of blotting paper.  It reminded me of carbon copy paper that you could use when using a typewriter so that you could get a second copy of what you were typing.  It also reminded me of my primary school days when the teachers occasionally used a rheostat to make multiple hand out copies for a class handout in the days before photocopiers.  The ink on the copies had a chemical smell that you could sniff and get a bit of a high from.  How times have changed.  How quickly technology changes.  And yet sometimes simple visual reminders like a colour can bring back memories from a distant past.   Our past experiences and memories all contribute to our present life and future.
