Sundays bike ride, the airport run Living close to the airport means there is a good bike ride to be had on quiet roads through a market garden area of Keilor, and on challenging and hilly roads that don’t have much through traffic. One section has three hills and leads to a dead end which is a watch tower for the airport. The other area goes near a golf course and runs parallel with a run way. Today with limited time I just rode the section to the watch tower, and then a return via an industrial area and down another hill to return to Keilor Village. In the industrial area is the historic Harricks Cottage owned by an original settler to the Keilor district. It is open on occasion by the local historical society.
